Hard white dots

Recently I have been getting these hard white dots forming on the glass, rocks filter and sump any idea what it could be, they are about the size of a grain of sand and hard to remove from the glass ???

They are hard tube marine worms known as Spirorbis spiralium, they filter food from your water and are totally harmless, in time you will notice TONS of them in your filters, some of mine are about 17 years old! They can be a bear to get off the front glass, I use a piece of glass with one straight edge to "cut" them off but it will scratch your glass, I don't really care since my tank is 17 years old and I have gotten great servive from it, time to upgrade anyway, but it seems when I get a little extra money together something else comes up where I need it, like the muffler falling off my car. BTW, large tanks are MUCH more expensive today than they were 17 years ago, go figure.
