hello

hello, just found this site and joined. I have a 180 gallon reef tank which is my first saltwater tank. As you can guess i have had some ups and downs and spent lots of money that i could have saved if i did things the right way the first time..lol...( I still wish i got a 210 gallon instead, lol..its never ending with me, im never happy..hahha) Anyway here are a few pics of my tank..i just bought new bulbs..Giesemann 14.5 K MEGACHROME coral 250 Watt - DE ill post new pictures once i get them installed..these pics are using AB 13k bulbs..

some info on the tank, it will have been running for two years this feb. I have approx. 300lbs live rock, 200lbs sand. for circulation i have two mag drive 1200s for each return from the sump, evolution 750 skimmer with a mag drive 12 feeding it. I also have five aqua jet 900 power heads for more circulation in the tank. The lighting is three 250 watt metal halides and four 96 watt power compacts. The power compacts are dual actnic, and like i stated earlier my metal halides are AB 13k bulbs, but ordered new megachrome 14.k bulbs..which should be coming tomorow in the mail...can't wait..ok im rambling..lol..i think that covered everything..haha

we are in the middle of a pair of group buys - but it looks like you already ordered your bulbs. Anyways - maybe the other can be of use to you (Premium Aquatics).

What kind of clams are those - is that a deresa with two croceas? I know you said you don't know names - but thought I'd ask anyway. :)

The "bulb" group buy ended this past Sunday. Also had to be a member to take advantage of the deal...a good reason to join! :)

We have group buys once a month. This months group buy is from Premium Aquatics. We order almost whatever we want from them and get about another 15% off the price you just paid.
January's group buy is Inverts.
There are additional threads in the members only forums about group buys.
Membership is $12 a year by check, or $12.67 with PayPal, and entitles you to participate in any of our group buys. Membership also allows you to get discounts at Local Fish Stores (LFS) that sponsor the club.
Membership info can be found on the Home Page.
We have meetings all over in NJ. Jan. meeting is North in Washington.
Hope this helped and maybe we'll see ya at a meeting. (no membership required to go to meetings)
