Be careful with nova extreme lights. I am no pro but I have been researching a lot in past 2 - 3 months. There are many complaints with nova extreme fixtures recently. They work well for a month or two and then the bulbs stop working. Some people claim that rearranging the bulbs helped but others had no luck.

I am looking at Aquaticlite for now. They also come with a built in timer.

Good luck.

I've never had an issue with current nova lighting.....I have used the nova extremes without an issue.

Now their outer orbit combo fixtures are a different story....have blown out an internal ballast on one of those.

It was a halide ballast that went bad not a t-5.

Can you post exact measurements and perhaps a pic of the tank....I know its an off shape (flatback hex or some such)

I think the gallonage is off....it didnt look like it could hold 50 gallons when I saw it and with only needing a 24 inch fixture to go across it.

So a pic and some measurements would make helping select lighting a lot easier

Whats up ynotme? It's me Eufemio the kid you bought the tangs from, how are they doing?
you seen my tank its 30 long 20 high and 20 wide.

Tangs are good.... eating like pigs and happy as can be.

I didnt remember the tank being a rectangle more of a angled end but not a bowfront either.

Am thinking more like a flatback hex (it was caddy cornered so maybe that is what is throwing me off.
