You make it difficult... What do I get now ?

I have soft silicone tubing coming from BRS and now do I get the stuff trio reccomended or this wine mat
Same place I get the stuff I offered you. Works great, but I would keep the section small. Light can penetrate it so will grow algae and require an occasional cleaning. Good luck!

What if I spray painted it black ? With enamel spray
As Sponge suggested, the pipe insulation would be a better solution. Some of the Krylon brand of spray paints are considered reef safe, but only if they don't chip off into the water so I'd hesitate to use them in this application since the tubing is going to vibrate. Additionally you want the tubing pliable to reduce the noise and painting would make it more rigid. Cleaning it isn't that big a deal either. Simple pipe cleaner as needed as part of your normal maintenance routine.

What type of pipe insulation did you use underwater

Mine is not underwater as I have and external return pump. But there are plenty of items that would work. What is the external diameter of the pipe you want to cover

I put a marker in side one as an example
The only down side is the ends fray. You can either melt the end after installation or use a tie wrap to secure it. It won’t unravel Purely aesthetic
