Help.... Yellow Tang is sick

I was looking for my yellow tang and I found him laying down on its side on the bottom of the tank... Its not moving I placed it on a mesh cube near one of my hydor pumps hoping it can help. All other fish are ok, corals are open..... the only thing that I saw weird today was when I came in the sump was low on water so it filled the tank with micro bubbles because the water level was low the return pump was sucking in air..... would that cause this problem?

Any tips appreciate it

It's very difficult to tell what is wrong from your description alone.

A few initial questions -

How big is the tang?
How large is the tank?
What other fish and inverts are housed with the tang?
How long have you had the fish?
Did this just start, or did the fish seem to be going downhill before?
What are your water parameters? (exact readings please)

I suspect something beat up on the tank, because everything else seems to be ok, but I can't be sure.

Need water quality testing done first. Just because everything else is ok doesnt mean the water is A-OK. He may have been weak and the change in water quality could have stressed him.

Has he been eating normally over the past few days?

Do you have a hospital tank? Move him if you can incase he is really sick he doesnt infect others.

He's gone, its a 72g Bow with a 20G sump. He ate good always picking macro algae from the live rock.

I think the stress from having a flury of micro bubbles for probably hours might have stressed him out....

Sorry to hear about the loss of your tang.

Sometimes a fish that looks good in the store, and starts out ok, just seems to roll over and die for no obvious reason.
