Hi !
Hi everyone ~
This is my first post, as I just came across this site yesterday. I was hoping to attend the meeting that I found out was held yesterday, not today..LOL (Thanks Phyllis)
Have decided to plunge back into the hobby, and picked up a smaller all in one tank at the LFS yesterday. We used to keep a 90RR aggressive and a 45 reef, but after a move and busy schedules gave the 45 away, and donated the livestock from the 90, which is sitting in our garage waiting for it's next debut !
So I did a little research on what's new out there and came across the RedSeaMax250. I thought the reviews were pretty good, except for a few haters which is always expected, and the LFS guy gave it a thumbs up. Though I wish it came in a nice cherry or Mahogany finish, I decided that once it's filled I won't notice the cabinet much. :-\ Anyway, we purchased it yesterday and so far have the base assembled... I must say the quality is really nice and solid, despite the black color... :-\ Today I will work on the equipment assembly, and if that goes smooth, hopefully will get some water and rock in it and start cycling away.....
Did a little lurking and haven't seen to much about this tank on this board.. but looking for any feedback and tips on starting her up, to a hobbyist coming out of retirement...
Thanks in advance !!
