Hob overflow sump combo?

If anyone has anything laying around looking to get rid of shoot me a pm..setting up a 55 gallon want to avoid using a cansiter

If you can, drilling the tank for an overflow would be a better option. I built a hang on back overflow and ran it on a on a tank for 10+ years. It worked flawlessly, yet what could happen kept me up an night. If you go that way, make sure to use an aqua lifter as an insurance policy to holding syphon. Even if the syphon is lost to an extended power outage, the aqua lifter will get restart it quickly. I always had a spare aqualifter ready just in case.
