How do I kill these worms?

* disclaimer: yes I realize most spaghetti/hair worms are not only harmless but are considered benificial by many. I have no issues with most types, the clearish ones are free to inhabit any of my tanks they wish.

My issue is with these darn yellow with greenish stripe looking ones that are killing my zoas.

See the zoas closest to the worms, that's what keeps happening over and over in different areas of my tanks where these things stretch out.

Can I prove they are killing my zoas, no... however I've seen a couple other posts here where people have similar experience with them.

They like to wrap around the zoas, then the zoas IME start stretching out, discoloring, sometimes they invert, sometimes they shrink down, then they almost always die unless I can get in there and move them (even then sometimes it's to late)

Most recently the worms were on my small frag of GPE which I happen to like, I moved the frag to another area in my tank that was free of the worms and they recovered fully. In other areas where I can't move the zoas I have colonies drastically cut down in size.

I've tried super gel glue over the center of the worm, I've tried putty... so far no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of pulling the rocks and using a butane lighter on them!!! A long needed stabbed into the center maybe?

HELP!

I've had the same exact worms a few years ago. I was told they are harmless spaghetti worms. I never had a problem with them, although I didn't have zoo's right next to them.
