How long???????

Hey everyone

going to try and move my tank this week, really need to get it done. I was wondering how long I can hold stuff in a garbage can or bins? I have a guy redoing the hardwood floors monday and I definitely don't want to set the tank up and have to move it, plus that floor needs to set before I put anything that heavy on them. So, if I get some good circulation and run my lights over the bins, would things be ok?

You could run it in a bin forever if you wanted. I'd favor something with a wide mouth rather than something as narrow as a garbage can for your needs though. You want the most possible surface area for gas exchange and light penetration. You could either do rubbermaid totes. If you thought you'd be doing the sump in the basement routine at any point I'd just go ahead and pickup the stock tank now. :)

Good luck with the move!

First things first Phyl,

the wife has to have HER HOUSE done HER way, lol. Then I can do all the great things I see so many of you guys do. Until then, it will be Rubbermaid city. I throw away a huge one, dang going to have to buy another or 2, HD here I come

do you have any water you want to get rid of, will start things off with new water. Stopped by last night to see how things were and tank is a mess. Algae on the glass, hair algae on the return pump hose, don't know if any of the corals I had in there are alive, maybe a mushroom, but I doubt it for a lot of other things. I definitely need to get my tank from this guy. So, I need all the water I can get. Maybe I'll get some NSW next high tide and use that. In the meantime, I need to find a way to hold everything I have till I can get things in the house completed. Will you be available Friday at all? ANYBODY?

Rev, Friday's not good for me, but if you need water we have plenty on hand. PM me if you'd like to swing by.

cool Phyl

will take you up on that offer. I know most people are busy, and the guy doesn't open till around 10-11am, so most people will be working. I thought about just get some large rubbermaid bins and filling them will all I can and move most of the stuff that way. I think I can get 2 of them in my truck, along with the tank. Will have to go back for the stand. The biggest part of this whole thing is once I get it to the house, transporting it all down into the basement, where it's a lot coller than the house. And with the floors being done on Monday, I definitely won't be setting it up anytime soon. Anybody see any extra large bins around?
