Hydroids?

My display and frag tanks are being taken over by something that looks like a hydroid:

Has anyone had any experience with this problem?  I've read the Forceps/Longnose Butterfly will eat hydroids.  Is this fish safe around corals?

I've never had them (knock on wood, ********anti jinx spell cast and reinforced********) so sorry I can't help. Don't recall anyone in the club talking about them in the last couple years either. Hopefully someone will chime in soon. Otherwise you may need to post in RC.

Oh and another thing..........try to keep them off the frag rack (and that cool frag o' mine 8) ). They look neat in the picture but that's close enough for me.

I had hydroids when I first started up my system. But they didn't look like that. I had a "bloom" of them, then they just went away. Thankfully they were only in my fuge and never made it into the main.
