I hate PikStiks

Probably should go into the useless category.

I wanted to find something where I could use a pair of tongs to grab items or move items without having to put on the shoulder-length gloves. I thought a 30" pik stik tongs would be great.

The stupid design fills the tongs up with water (making it easier to get past the pressure) but makes the tool completely water filled when trying to take it out. So the water empties out slowly back into the tank or all over your floor. If you are dumb like me and lift the pik stik up horizontally - the water empties out via the handle - down your arm and all over the floor.

Do you use a pikstik? If you do - do you wait until the water empties out? I just don't have the patience! I put the stupid thing into the overflow so the water empties out without me waiting for it. It's like I have to get a bucket next to the tank just for the pik stik!

I'm sorry man... I couldnt help but crack up over this because I do the same thing with a little hand held scraper that I use that fills up with water. I have been thinking about getting pair of tongs. I will avoid these. Thanks for the heads up!

I agree...you forgot the best part.. The parts inside aren't made of stainless steel (I'm assuming) so when the water gets inside, it eventually rusts and they fall apart. I've had two of these do the same exact thing...
