I need a bigger tank

Nice tank, I'm jealous. How does one become a Bronze member- never noticed that before
I posted a few too many frags for sale as per the rules.. It was delete some listings or become a "bronze member". I think they had to adjust the membership options for this situation as it wasn't available a few weeks ago.

Anyways, no press is bad press

It was like an extra ten bucks a year. I'm not making any money doing this anyways.
Set up a 20 long to "sell coral" but really I'm just hoarding

Wow I’m jealous only a year and your tank looks great. Makes me question myself as to what am I doing wrong.

how can one acquire a piece of said rock to seed my tank? lol
The tank has had its issues. Dinos hair algae never had cyano, but I'm gonna be buried with this rock. I've just picked it up as I've seen it in stores, tank breakdowns ect.

One year of growth!! That’s really really good!! What do you dose and routine?
75 gallon with a 20 long frag tank plumbed in. Lighting is t5 and hydras. I dose 60 mil all for reef and a gallon of kalk a day. Nitrate 2 phosphate .07
Alk I shoot for 7.5-8.5 magnesium and calcium all "in line" no crazy numbers. I dose a few mils of acropower daily. As well as a little bit of tropic marins bacto balance

Also worth mentioning I'm not a big water change guy. I only change water every 1-2 months. Only ten gallons at a time. Ive never used mechanical filtration on this tank. I have three auto feeders on this system. I feed manually with either flake or frozen once or twice a day, but between that and the three auto feeders this tank gets fed 12 times a day

a gallon of kalk a day my goodness!! What a machine, it's gulping it down. You don't have any mechanical filtration? Can you send photos of sump?

A gallon is give or take about what my low end evaporation is season to season. Can't do anymore than that.

it's not pretty but this is my sump.

How was to get your kalkwasser and all for reef to work together!! What was your starting point?
I was using maybe a dozen miilliliter if all for reef at first. Then I decided I wanted to use kalk.
Figure out how much your tank evaporates on average for the year season to season, for me it's a about a gallon. Winter can be more than a gallon, so can summer when I have fan running over the tank, but the low(ish) end is a gallon. I walked my kalk up to a gallon as consumption increased then make up the difference with whatever else you want to use. I use all for reef.

I’m using the same!! That’s why I asked, I’m dosing 70ml a day off kalkwasser and 8ml of all for reef. This tank it’s not new but I had a mini crash and after that I move it and ended up losing everything else with the transfer.. I started with 40 ml of kalkwasser and the same 8ml afr when I added acros around 3 weeks ago!!

Good stuff. Walk up your kalk until you reach max evap. Be aware that max will change depending on the season.
