I need help

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum so here's my problem I work at a lfs and I'm loosing a lot of fish everyday but my water quality isn't to bad, i do water changes 2x a week we have an or system the last time I tested was yesterday and my ammonia was .10 the nitrates were 30 and nitrites were 0. It's a 200 gallon mars system. Please help me!!

Check for rusty metal flakes falling into the sump or even tanks. This was an issue at the store I worked at that used the same system. I fixed it and it helped alot

The ammonia is a problem. Can you describe the system? What kind of filtration does it have? How heavily stocked is it?

I agree with Nikki ammonia is a problem, especially if you are doing water changes 2x per week. If It were my system I would test the water change water to see what it is doing. Could be as easy as an over zealous employee using too much cleaner around the storage tank where you are mixing the salt when he cleans the floors. Sometimes you have to eliminate what it isn't to find out what it is!

How old is the system? Also some more specifics such as filtration, is there sand/rock, how big are the water changes etc. will also help.
