i need lfs suggestions

I need a suggestion for a fish store in NJ. I am in north jersey but will travel. I use a popular one up here, but have grown to dislike them. Every employee tells you somethign different, most of my fish that i brought home quickly got sick, and now I have called a few times about upgrading to a larger tank, they cannot even give me the courtsey of calling me back.

so, i need a new place to buy fish and order the new tank from. thanks

Ocean Gallery II, Aquatic Obsessions and Red Sand are the club sponsors that are closest to your area. I'm not from up there so I'm not familiar with any of the non-sponsor stores.

Have not been to Red Sand, but I have been to both OGII and AO and they are great. I will drive over an hour from central jersey to go to them. Very much woth the trip.

as much as i hate tropiquarium, i like the coral and a couple of the staff members. The prices have gotten out of control on certain items

Trop always has a great selection of corals. Their staff is always friendly, helpful and there when you need them.

A bit of a hike for the North Jersey crew though!

Aquarium Center in Blackwood/clemington.... my others are in Delaware! sorry :p

forgot to mention The Hidden Reef in levittown and East Coast Aquatics (never been there) and the Fish Factory around the corner (literally) from hidden Reef

I also like Tropiqrium. As Phyls said, the staff is very helpful. They are also very knowledgeable. They are there when you need them.
I have only started going to Ocean Gallery II for last month. They are very good as well. The staff is very knowledgeable.

I am in Central, NJ so both stores are equal distance for me. For you OG is a better drive. I will stay away from anything in Central NJ.

If you go to OG, say hi to Brian and Chris.

Absolutly fish has a great fish selection. Always stocked up and usually some more of the hard to find fish. You do pay for it though..... Very pricey

i hate that place personally, but i better shhh because saying that fancy's some people the wrong way.

Reef Encounter is a good one, if its not the one you re talking about. Theres also the Fish Tank on Rt.46 next to the Walmart. I found a small store on teaneck rd in teaneck. He s a wholesaler with just a small retail store, has a good selection, although its kinda small. Prices were about 5 bucks less on average than the others.
