i saw the coolest thing in my tank. ricordea eating

i fed my 2 clownfish tonight, but i missed a piece of food that i didnt cut small. it floated around in the tank until it landed right next to my orange ricordea. it grabbed the piece of food with its tentacle, and slowly moved it closer to its mouth by lifting its side, deflating its bubbles near its mouth. it took him about 5 minutes to move it from next to it, to its mouth. i watched it open its mouth, and then it pushed it down. it lifted itself up in the center as it pushed the food down. finally i couldnt see the food anymore. it looks like the food is in its mouth now. it is fully pushed up, i guess as it digests its food. i am really glad i got to watch it though. it is really neat

you should feed it again soon, and this time - show us some pics...
:D

my digital camera does movies. i am not sure how good since i have never used that function. i will keep an eye on it tomorrow, and if i see it, i will try to film it. it was very slow, it took him 5 minutes to grab the food next to him and bring it to his mouth

I spot feed my rics daily, just squirt some mysis near the center and sit back and watch . Its cool to see how they manuver the food item and how big of a pice they can eat .

a 5 mins video would be a hug size... taking pics every 30 secs or so would be better to managing them later.
