So aside from my tick story - I have another story to share. I can't get over the tick - since that thing was on my daughter the entire time she did her ballet recital today!!!
Anyways - we're at the recital and the place is freezing and we just finished watching two performances (there are 20).
Next thing you know - you hear a BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP< BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP< It's not a cell phone. It's REALLY Loud and lights are flashing. Yep - the FIRE ALARM!
Someone gets on the PA and says "please calmly leave the auditorium" and you could sense the collective gasp and people wanting to RUSH out. For a minute I really thought it was dangerous as there were elderly people and very young kids trying to climb up these steps to get out.
Turns out - a little child/boy pulled the alarm or pushed thru the fire exit. They didn't tell us the details -only that it was someone's kid and we all had to exit the building per fire code even though we knew it was a prank/accident.
Anyways - thought it was just crazy. I'm sure we all know what it would be like to try and steal the attention away from the older sibling in the recital! Man o man what a lecture that poor boy is going to get. But he sure does have something to talk about when he's older. ;D
