Today's WTF moment...

IMG_2047_zpsx4o7lpxi.jpg

I've got a varied CUC with various types of snail and a few red legged hermits. Are those snail eggs on this hermit's shell? Initially I was concerned for some king of parasite or disease, but these things are spaced, are very symmetrical, and seem to have a bit of substance to them.

They're nowhere else in the tank, just on this guy's shell.

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers,

Mark

Lol yeah that's what it looks like to me too. They look identical to snail eggs and I don't know what else it would be.

Snail eggs is a possibility, but it could simply just be some coralline algae. A lot of my snails have purple spots all over them.
