If crashing....what do you do?

Had a bad water change day Wednesday.
Long story...

Was doing a minor treatment for flatworms with flatworm exit , then...ran out of water as I was draining good water down the drain with my python. Whoops.
Panicked...So dumped RODI from my tanks reserve into the sump, probably colder than tank water, turned on and was still just a little short.
Didn't think the temp difference through on that move...

Had to turn the separate frag tank pump off and on to keep the water flowing through both systems. Burnt out the frag return pump. Figures....

Checked salinity of system and was 1.024 usually 1.025.
So I pulled a pitcher of water added a little salt stirred it up and added in a few times over the next hour or so.

But had to do something about the dead pump. Went to tie a line into the main red sea ball valve manifold off the main return pump and when I turned the ball valve. Orange brown nastiness shot into my sump and was immediately rolled into both tanks.

Wasn't able to use that ball valve for the return so grabbed another utility pump and got that squared.
Thursday things were just a little off. A few corals showing a little stress.
Chalice and season greetings.
Parameters looked good for me.
78°, 1.025, 8.3 alk, calcium 460, magnesium a little low 1280.
Phosphates were 0.90, which is what I have been working to lower.
Nitrates at 23. Also working on them but things looked great recently.

I did notice I lost alot of stomatella snails! Maybe their deaths released toxins so added carbon which I don't usually run.

So Friday and Saturday things just looked a lot worse.
Removed carbon.

Only thing still different is that pump.
Should I just swap that out and do a little water change every day. 10 gallons or so?
I am gearing compete crash.

Just now I pulled the Hollywood stunner as it was oozing.

Oh...I also picked up some new corals from Maximus Reef on Saturday including SPS /Montis and such.

So they have been in there 2 days and look great still!

So it seems to be more the trauma from Wednesday that impacted them.

Any words of wisdom is appreciated

Immediately dose cipro every other day for a week at 5ml per 100 gallons which should get you to a tank concentration of .125. Looks like you get some jelly stuff happening. Unfortunately no comming back from that.

Eric ,that stinks.maybe orange brown nastiness was rust. Maybe run new carbon.i have a brand new pump. If you need ..

Feel a little something still in the tank.
If I add a ground probe, does that help the fish/corals? In case I can't fully eliminate the stray voltage as there will always be some.

Yes but you want it tied to a gfi so the breaker pops if their is voltage.

No Cipro.
Know where I can get it?
All I have ..
Any benefit from using any of these?

Just pulled a few of the smaller doubles I have into the other tank.
And also gonna set up a pseudo-QT tank along side the frag tank. 50 % new water 50% old. With a few euphyllia. See how they react.

So Tuesday morning update.

Checked copper levels with API, nothing apparent. Looks like 0!
Checked stray voltage. My skimmer and one circulation pump had a little extra current. Nothing like the pump that was replaced.
But shut them off for now anyway.

Last night...Did some triage.
Placed some duplicates in my clown tank as a test. Not many corals in there.

Also placed 4 little quarter size pieces of Hollywood stunner that were able to be salvages from the big stunner I had. No change on them.

Also set up a temporary holding tank.
10 gallon with heat and flow like a QT.
50/50 new salt/tank water.

All corals looked the same 24 hours later. Nothing WORSE looking.

The water was a little cloudy in the 10 gallon holding tank. So I was thinking maybe bacterial from that gunk that shot out. So I dipped those couple frags in revive and placed back in frag tank for now. I also plummed my UV sterilizer and got that flowing just now.

Someone mentioned Brown Jelly, and I have had that before. This is different. Those euphyllia in the picture so have a white fuzz, but not puss looking, more like the strands that come out of a mushroom at times.
Anyone ever see euphyllia do that???
Does it give anyone an idea of what's happening?

Anyway. Just fed the fish some pellets and am letting the UV run for now.
Only plan for the rest of the day is to do a small 5 gallon water change at lunch.

Shutting down the 10 gallon experiment, unless someone sees a good value in it.

Thoughts?

Eric the 10 gallons would probably give you an idea as how good this water change will result in the big tank as it’s 50% fresh new water so you can see if you need another water change in the big tank

another 20 gallon water change and lost a few more things. Moved some more stuff to the cube to see how things respond.
at this point I feel like Thanos is playing with my tank
