So about a year has gone by since i got rid of mrs sally light foot I had her for about a year with no problems after my lfs said yea they are reef safe came home and she was eating my mushrooms so i been very worried about putting anything else [CRAB SHRIMP LOBSTER] In my tank

So my question to all of you what is ''reef safe invert'' that would be good for my tank and not hurt anything

My tank has a little of everthing in it sps lps zoas mushrooms

Maybe you guys can tell me what you have in your tank

scarlet reef hermits. They are expensive but they have not been seen to bother anything in my tank.

no lobsters. Shrimp are a toss up. Most people like them because they add activity to the bottom of the tank.

The only "crab" I would trust would be an anemone crab or similarly a porcelain crab.

Shrimp I trust: Cleaner shrimp
Crabs I trust: anemone crab or porcelain
CUC: scarlet reefs and blue leggs, nassarius snails, trochus snails, nerite snails, a few other snails I can't remember right now
Starfish: Only serpant stars and linkias

I had a Pom-Pom crab never touched anything,I think any crab is going to be a toss up Sally's,emeralds anything besides,hermits may nibble on corals...

I just bought an emerald crab.. he's a model citizen so far.

I trust strawberry crabs, and I second Mike, Kevin, and Phil's suggestions. I love pom Pom crabs, but if they lose their anems, they will steal coral. I would add acro crabs to the list I trust.

I second, third, whatever all of the above. I also have a Fire shrimp that has been great also. Though he ocassionally steals food from corals when feeding them. As for the serpent stars though watch out for the green ones. They are known fish hunters/eaters as they get bigger. My pom pom crabs also has never touched anything but it is normally in hiding, and seldom seen.

Stick to the smaller hermits cause they wont kill as many snails as the bigger ones, serpents linka n sand sifting stars, Nass turbo, nerite margarita and a few other snails. Ive had luck with coral banded and cleaner shrimp. Peppermint shrimp r good too as long as u dont get camel shrimp by accident then they could eat ur softies n such

I keep: Peppermint, Blood, Coral Banded and Skunk cleaners without any problems. Crabs include Blue, Red legs and Dwarf Zebra's. Snails include; Nerite, Nassarius Vibrex, Banded Trochus, Cerith, Fighting conch's and Dove.
