Is plexiglass safe?

I've been slowly building my sump/fuge and i found some plexiglass/fiber glass that i cut awhile back to build a tank. So my question is if it's alright to use for the divider/slates in my sump?

plexiglass is a brand name for acrylic. fiberglass would take some skill to do.

Plexiglass chips when you cut it, try cast acryllic.

i'll see i guess i'm ether going to get acryllic from lowes or get glass from a glass cutting place. Is there anything i shouldn't use, like nonsafe glass or anything?

I use Curbell in Moorestown NJ, the number is 856 778 1100, Jessica is at the front desk. Ask for cast acryllic.
