It's nano time

Wife and I are looking into putting a 14 gallon coralife nano in my daughters room. Currently we have a 20 gallon freshwater tank with livebearers in it but go figure my 17 month old would rather stare at my 90 gallon reef instead. So if by any chance anyone has a coralife 14 gallon they are looking to part with let me know if not we are ordering one tonight. Anyway what's the reviews on those of you that might have this particular setup, just going to put lps and softies on it as I'm taking it all out of my dt to make room for sps

I had a Biocube 8 and I loved that little tank! There are some mods you have to do before you even put water in it, like upgrade the pump to a maxi jet 900 and pull the bio balls out and toss them. I had some SPS in there too but softies and LPS love the power compacts.

I have a 14 biocube tank right now. I added the media basket, ATO and an mp10 and it's doing well with weekly water changes. If you want to do sps in there, retrofit some leds in the hood. Keeps the aio look and works great

I had the 29g version. Removing the bio balls and replacing them with LR rubble is better. The stock lighting will do great for any LPS/Softy there is. I kept anything from Kenya Trees all the way to Open Brain corals in it. Anything more light demanding then LPS I'd recommend retrofitting either LEDs or another set of PC lights. Just a thought though, have you looked into the Innovative Marine AIO tanks? The 8 Gallon cube and 16 Gallon are pretty snazzy as far as Nanos go. (I had the 8 and upgraded to the 16 myself)

Thanks for all the input guys. I ordered a 14 gallon coralife online , dr. Foster and smith was $40 cheaper than everyone else plus free shipping total was $160. I'm going to be placing a softball sized open brain lobo ,green hammer ,frogspawn , green star polyps , maybe a green nepthea , and various zoas. The lobo is loosing color in my dt I think the lighting is just to intense since I've got the fixtures cranked now that I've switched to predominately sps. I have no intention on using their bio ball setup either macro or rubble as suggested. Cycling sand for it now as well as rock ,all 150 pounds of it! Thanks Ed.so if anyone is in need of rock I'm seeding it with coraline ,should start to show in the next month.
