Well it's time to upgrade for my son and me of course. I found a great deal on a 45 cube with stand and sump and well here we go.
Last week I added rodi and leak tested in the room of course. All was good so I brought salinity up and added live rock that's been in my sump for a while. Nice and clean since it's pretty much kept in the dark.
Equipment:
I'm going with ocean revive LEDs. Return pump is a deep blue triton 4 on a manifold which will also run Biopellets in a avast reactor. Eshopps 120 cone or I might switch this to a bubble magus nac 3. Not sure which I like better yet. 2 wp25's for in tank flow. These are set to w1 ATM with lowest flow setting. And they are clearing the front of the tank of sand. I'm thinking I should have gone with the wp10's instead.
Corals: well none ATM. My son wants SPS mainly as those are his favorites.
Fish: again non ATM but we will be moving over 2 clowns, a royal gramma, orange spot goby and pistol, and a few various crabs from his old tank as well as the CUC. Between the pistol and the power heads the sand bed doesn't have a chance. I might have to add a few small pieces of rock in the front to keep it in place.
Here are a couple of early pics.
Thanks for looking
