Just bought a 95 gallon corner tank and need help

Hello to all. I recently bought a drilled 95 gallon acrylic corner tank (used) but having problem setting it up. Some of the plumbing looks to be missing. ???

I have been in the hobby for about 3 years but I have no experience with overflows and sump. I have done a lot of research on google and youtube, but am still confused about setting up my tank and I do not want to flood my living room.

Is there anybody around Palisades Park, NJ who can help me set up my tank? Obviousely, I will pick you up (drop you off) and provide nourishment. ;D

I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

Best,
Scott

Well sorry to tell you that I have NO experience WHATSOEVER in that field, in fact I don't even have my own saltwater tank set-up yet, but if you didn't mind to much I'm in fairview and I would LOVE to come and see it all being set-up and in action sometime, maybe..

LOL - of course I don't mind.
As soon as the tank is up and running, I will surely invite you.

If anything we can take trips on stores and such to get things together =D Actually as a matter of fact do you know where you're getting your Live rock from? I'm thinking we can get a much much better deal if we buy together...

Have you been to "Absolutely Fish" (www.absolutelyfish.com)? Talk about eye-candy... :p
Somewhat pricey, but they have great stuff.

Alot of people are selling stuff on this forum at great prices - you should try buying here first, if you have not done so.

Funny thing is I was there yesterday! Haha!

Yea I hear you on the forum thing but my point being that if we buy our package together (90 + 30 = 120, which I think i'm getting more than 30, and you probably are getting more also), then I think we can get a better deal them me just getting 30-X lbs and you just getting 90-X ammount lbs... get me?

Scott - Can you post up some pics? That would help.

Yeah some pics would help in this case. I'd try to buy rock from your fellow reefers on here if you can. usually It's already established and has coraline all over it. For anywhere from 2-3 dollars a pound or cheaper. Great deals on here

I coiuld stop by tomorrow night. I have a class in North Caldwell then i should have a little time to stop by and tell you what you need. PM me your phone number and address.

Hey thanks so much. But for some reason, I can not pm you (tried multiple times). So I will email you my contact information. Thanks again.

Hey Shur someone off the forum just invited me to go see their tank tomorrow because they used macrorocks to get their sand n rock and he said he's cycled in 26days with no algae, hitchhikers, or any problems and even has a coral already, he's in clifton, would you like me to ask him if maybe you could come? I think it would benefit us both..

I spent the last 30 minutes figuring out "attaching files." Unfortunately, my pics are too large in size (limited to 750KB or something close to that on the site).

In any case, I will try again tomorrow to post pics. I am sorry about that. :-[

What time are you going? Thanks.

I've got school till 3, then I think I'll be going to bergenfield to pick up a Metal Halide fixture to start my tank... The thing is I don't have a car from 3-6 and at 6ish it's my dad taking me to get the fixture... i'm thinking maybe we can go from 3-6 but that's only with a way to get there, which unfortunately I don't have and i really feel to awkward scrubbing off you for a ride =/

Visit photobucket.com, become a free member and upload your pic. It will resize it for you automatically.

right click on photo go to edit, that should open it in paint. then go to image stretch/skew and shrink it down. Thats what i do.

Scott - i've sent you a pm. If you still cannot get it to work - send me an email and I will post them up for you.

Then we can analyze the plumbing while you figure out the photobucket.com stuff...lol.
