i'm running a hamilton tech. sebsun with a 400mh 20 k radium with 4 t5 3 Korallen-Zucht super blue and 1 Korallen-Zucht purple on a 45 cube tank hold sps lps and zoos.looking to put leds on as a replacement for the t5's question which are the better leds to go with
All depends on who you ask. Your best bet is to read up on the ones you're interested in and narrow it down a bit. To replace 4 T5s you may be best off with a couple of Reefbrite strips or something along those lines.
We are not talking a fixture with separate T5 and MH….if I’m not mistake, the Cebu Sun has both lights within the fixture. So not sure how you would eliminate the T5s and mix MH with LEDs???
And, if I am wrong, and they are separate fixtures, I’d actually dump the MH and replace that with LEDs, leaving the T5’s.
i was looking at the reefbrite strips and i think i can mount them to the side of the light. the mh and the t5s all have there own plugs.this way we can just run the mh with the led's. we were the lucky owner of the solars led light system that came out a couple years ago lol worst light i ever owned so i'm a little nervious about running just led's. i have sps lps and zoos so this is just a little tinkering to see ifwecan go with just the led's down the road
I'm running 1 AI Sol Blue on my 45 cube. Now that the tank is 1 year ago, I'm a little better keeping the parameters in control, I've seen a great increase in SPS growth. I'm using the parameters as suggested from this forum of White-60%, Blue-45%, and Royal Blue-45% I would think that 1 over your 45 would look a bit dim given all the light you currently have
