hey guys, i'm getting back in the game here. i have a 55 gal (48 x 13 x 21) that i started to cycle, and is going to be a mixed reed. i'm looking to get new LED lights that would be a good bang for the buck. i'm not looking to break that bank on this one...would love to hear suggestions you guys have.

thanks and looking forward to getting up and running again!

any of the full spectrum chinese made LEDs will be your best bet for value.

I have a photon 32 from reef breeders and it is great! I absolutely love it! I have it on my 144 semi circle and it is more than enough light. The highest intensity I have it on throughout the day is 45%. There customer service is fantastic and the fact that they give you a 2 year warranty is amazing! Its a great product, great customer service, and it is absolutely a good bang for the buck.

looks like there's great reviews on both the photon 48 and Arctic-S026's but about $150 difference in price

I have the 3 ocean revive S026 over my 180 and 1 on my sons 45cube. If I decide to keep my frag tank, I'll be getting 2 more for that as well.

thanks for the replies guys. i almost pulled the trigger on the Ocean Revive T274s (apparently the "T247=S026 + Built-in-Timer + remove controller - 1x plug")...but i'm able to pick up an EverGrow IT2080 for $350 (free shipping). i think the evergrow is a better option.

what do you guys think?

John 3 cover all 3 sections with no problem?

So far so good Dan. I'm still bringing them up in intensity but it appears as though I'll be GTG. I also like that it leaves me a bit of lower light areas up along the front glass for some other stuff as well.

I'm confused. You bought lights on Ebay that were supposed to be Evergrow, but they are actually Ocean Revive?

OK, so 1 company owns both product names? That makes more sense then. I was just worried that ryanpal might be getting ripped off.
