so my 6 bulb current t5 unit just made lots of louds pop and started to smoke. well i think there shot. my question is how long cxan my corals last without ant lighting? thanks jen

What kind of corals? I had softies, and zoas that lasted almost 2 weeks with no heat or power after sandy! I'm picking up a new light at the swap, so if you need to borrow my other you're more than welcome!

does anyone know if the sockets on the nova extreme pro are replaceable? and if so where to get them? and how to replace them. i can see burn marks on one socket. but it looks like the four are connected for the one switch. the other switch which runs the other two bulbs is still working so as of now im running with two bulb. so what do i do is it fixable or do i need to look for another fixture?????????

just thought some would like to know. i sent current an e mail and within a few hrs heard back that they would be mailing me the parts. wow what great customer service. attt in my opinion.

That is good news did they say how long it would take for the replacement parts to get there? If its going to be awhile are going to be ok light wise?

I would suggest borrowing another fixture until the old one is fixed. Even if the parts get there in a couple days... you'll still have to take the old one offline while you repair it. Since you seem inexperienced with repairing them... it might take you a while to figure it out and then test it.

Also, since 4 of your 6 bulbs had this problem, I wouldn't be surprised if this also happens to the last set soon too.

It was great that they offered to send you the parts though.

okay so im pretty much screwed parts still are not here and turns out they just shipped them today. corals are starting to stn and lots of closed up corals and anemone. also lots of color loss so what do i do now!!!!! pretty well scewed

Jen, don't know if it can help you, but I have a spare Tautronics 120W LED unit you can borrow. Let me know. It's better than nothing.

I have a spare 120 watt blue/ white led unit if you need it. Should be more than enough to keep everyone in the tank happy. I see Paul offered the same, whomever is closest. I work tues, off Wed. But can leave it on my porch if you want to drive by.
