Iam thinking of going with a dark blue back ground not sure yet or good old black!
I ended up really liking my blue background.

Iam going to try using this 15 gallon sump I had in the basement.i may go to a 20gallon or larger ill see how water level is with power off and if I can run skimmer with no issues
I plan on the main display acting sort of like a fuge being its going to be planted with mangroves and macro alage.my plan is to use plants in display to be nutrient control. I may add a alage scrubber or macro reactorNo space for a fuge?
Painted background today with warmer temps.
It was an acciden that'll work out for you.Overflow box installed but I messed up and should of lowered box aboutb1/4in I had to trim inside lip of top trim to fit flat to glass.
I put arrow of template flush with top trim and just missed fitting under trim. I should of know better and did a test fit and measured it to be sure.
Iam happy to hear that MarkIt was an acciden that'll work out for you.
Did a few of these, and if you keep the overflow under the plastic rim the water level in the tank seems way too low visually.
I always cut through the moulding and ran the overflows high, exactly as you have em, and the water level is much more acceptable visually.
Actually its navy blue but really appears black. I was trying to shade it light to dark but couldn't get it the way I wanted it so just shot it darkDecided on black, nice.
Performed a leak check on overflow and piping everything went well but the sump I have is way to small so will have to build or aquire one.
