About a month ago I picked up a piece of coral from inquistive, it was on a large piece of liverock, but the rock was covered with extreme amounts of hair algae.
I chiseled off the section with the coral and was able to free it from the rock. I placed the rock outside of water in a bucket and covered it so no water or light could get to it.
I'd like to place it either in my display or in my sump, but would like advice on how to ensure the alga and anything else is dead. Preferabbly making it base rock.
Also I'm having a bit of hair algaE in my main display. Any advice dealing with that is appreciated. I have 75-100 turbos, 50 nassairus snails, and 2 hermits for clean up.
