Long vacation issues

So I went to Hawaii for 14 days and didn't have a tank sitter. Everything in the tank survived but I have a coupe hundred additions. BUBBLE ALGAE!

It's been a month and things are getting better but I'm tired of looking at it.

After... Turns out I don't have any after pic on my phone but it looks better.

I think the issue was my auto feeder fed to much mixed with my biopellets stopped tumbling.

It's a 29g tank so I stopped using biopellets and went back to GFO. I've been changing out a 1/2 cup of gfo every week and doing a 5g water change weekly. I also added an emerald crab and did a 3 day lights out.

Is there anything else I can do?

put a few more emeralds in there and they will disappear little by little. Only other option I can see if remove the rocks that they are and carefully remove them.

what kind of thread is this where you go to one of the most beautiful states in this country and not post any pics of the reef there? lol. Hope you enjoyed the trip!

bubble algae can be manually removed, when you do that make sure you have a siphon nearby to help mitigate the number of spores released into the tank. You'll have to repeat this process manually. Cut down on the nutrients will greatly help reducing the frequency of the reappearance of said algae. Good luck!

Haha sorry about that. Apparently there is no such thing as a 1hr photo anymore. I'll post some pics on Thursday.

I'd rather not remove the rocks, that orange car connects 2 rocks in the front and a tort connects a few in the back.

I have been manually removing some but it's really in there and I was using a regular siphon (1/2" or 3/4" hose) I'm going to try some airline so I have some more time. I'll try this:

It's going to take me weeks but it looks like it could work
