What a great shot of those Harlequin Shrimp, very cool!

Thanks! The "point and shoot" camera people are finally earning some respect around here ;)

If you look under the serpent stars leg, you can see the a chocolate chip starfish leg that the two shrimp are trying to get from the serpent star.

congrats greg--- fantastic shot!!!
i had to do a double take when i first looked at your image---these shrimp are ' different '---now, I'm gonna have to get a pair---

Wow, you got that pic with a point-and-shoot! That's really impressive. There's something about the color pattern of harlequins that makes them hard to shoot (for me at least). I think their pattern confuses the sensor or something but there's always a spot that comes out blurry . . . well, obviously not always now that I look at this pic!

Congrats.

too bad it's not a crown-o-thorns leg getting eaten! ;)

question - the harlequins leave the serpent star alone because it doesn't have those tubular feet?

Congratulations Greg. That was a great picture. I didn't enter because I saw that when you emailed it in and figured it would be pointless to try and top that.

One of the best photos i've ever seen. It literally tells a story.lol.

Congratulations, Greg. AWESOME picture(s). I love those shrimp, but would be afraid to add them out of fear my CB would eat them.

I was wondering why a Copperbanded Butterfly would bother your shrimp! ;D That was definitely the first thing that came to mind. Though John did come up with Coral banded shrimp!

Wendy,
I have a pair of coral banded shrimp in the same tank and they have never bothered the harlequins.

Thanks, Greg, and thanks a lot, because now I'll be looking for a pair of those. ;D GORGEOUS critters. Yes, I know, I'll have to feed them serpent stars - but hey, if I can feed my gecko LF (life food, lol), then I "should be" ok with serpent stars, right?
