marine depot live rock

hey...anyone have any experience with ordering figi live rock from marine depot?....thus far, it is the cheapest live rock I've been able to find and shipping is free....

Have you tried the hidden reef. They still have live fiji for 2.89 a pound and they are a club Sponsor. Always call ahead just to be sure they have it in stock.

perks....thank you, edward....no, I didn't even know that the hidden reef had it and that is certainly cheaper than marinedepot....I will look into that...I don't mind making a drive to pick up rock

anyone else have suggestions?

I would prefer to go through a sponsor, just the ones that I am aware of want like 7-10 bucks a pound....way too much money....I also thought about asking members, but usually members who are selling want to get rid of the rock asap and I'm just not ready yet....still need to order my lighting and rodi unit.....I do not want to go the rubbermaid route and store rock....so far, I have the tank set up on the stand with 2 koralia 2 powerheads on each end and the aqua c remora skimmer with the maxijet 1200 hooked up to it.....

I was happy with the LR I got from Pacific East Aquaculture, a club sponsor. You might give them a call. They are UPS zone 1 so you can get it overnight for pretty cheap.

THR still had some decent fiji pieces at 2.89/lb when I went on Saturday. Their rubble is 1.99/lb but I saw some aiptasia and avoided getting some of those. Just put some in the tank so not sure what type of hitchhikers I might've gotten.
