more or less live rock

so my 75 gallon reef is full with live rock but have been thinking about pulling some to make it a more feel in the tank. just wanted to get some pros and cons on this idea thanks

How big of a sump do you have? any rock in there? how much is "full of rock"? could you post a picture & possibly give us the weight of the rock(total, not piece by piece). on avg most people say 1.5-2 lbs of rock per gallon of tank water. but that depends on what rock you've got.

okay so no sump and not sure of how many pounds but here is a pic

IMO it looks good as is. Looks like you have a few large fish in there so bio load is probably pretty high. If you pull too much to fast its gonna have a buildup of sorts. If you had a sump you could simply move some there. Personally I'd leave it. Looks good as is.

It looks like you are running everything HOB which is fine I did that for years so you don't really have a lot of extra room to play with besides the HOB fuge. I would probably keep as much as I could in there, but you could always look for more porous rock or try and change the design a bit if you don't like the way it currently looks. As jgraz alluded too, you have a really really high bioload for a 75g display being run with hob equipment. Generally for a vlamingii tang you are looking for an 8 foot minimum tank just to give you an idea.
