Not sure if this is the right forum- mods move it where it shold be , I have to sell my house- mortgage payments will be upped in August-I'm on SS and won't be able to afford the increase- so I'll be selling/ giving stuff away at that time. I've been looking into affordable 55+ communities ( I'm 75 and single).I'm open to just about anywhere, problem is that I'm on a fixed income- any help/recommendatiosns are welcome

I would get on lists of affordable senior housing in the areas you want. Apply for them and get realistic wait times and temporarily rent till they open, or..... I'd check for other states. Warner, cooler, different vibes. You pay a lot in NJ for it's schools, parks, infrastructure for work etc

Unfortunately NJ and affordable senior housing don't go together....

One thing is certain, if I do end up out of state, I don't hink I'll find another reef club or members like this one, I may have to keep my membership active
