MP10 Problem

Why does something bad always happen when you're on vacation. I just got home after spending a week+ touring Arizona, and come home to an MP10 not working. It is out of warranty, so that's not an option. Haven't looked into it real hard, but here's what I know. The controller is receiving power, but no lights are lit. The control is also warm. And obviously the powerhead isn't pumping. Anybody see this before?

I'm beat from traveling and won't take a close look until tomorrow. Any insight is appreciated.

Did you check the connection from the dry side to the controller? That's the only real thing I can think of.

This is where mine burnt out also. The power supply. Maybe wiggle it around for a while.

Ed, I'm in the car right now to come over and whip you silly with a wet noodle!

Kevin, it actually clips in with a little hook....and it was checked and hooked well. Actually disconnected and reconnected and nothing.

Mike the power supply is putting out 24 volts. I also switched to another power supply and nothing. I'm 95% sure it's the driver. I've asked Jon (Onefish2fish), to borrow his spare MP10 to verify before I go off buying any parts. The QD driver is $50, but I'm still going to look for someone whose upgraded and see if I could purchase their old driver....there's no need for QD considering this pump is in the sump.

Realize that this MP10 was in a sump that measures approximately 17" x 17" x 12" deep. I don't think the Gyre would be strong enough!!!!!

Thanks for the offer Brandon, but I'm looking for a person wanting to upgrade to QD and make back some of that expense.
