multiple top-off lines

hi--newbie to reefers but not to salt water tanks---
been thinking of a auto top off system for my tanks--1-25 gal plastic garbage can to be used to top off 3-4 tanks---each tank would have its own float switch and pump setup---does this sound like it might work?

I don't see why not.
Your going to be keeping the can topped off with RO/DI correct?

yup---been looking over the various types and sizes---wont think of using any other kind of water

You may want to come up with a way to auto refill the can only after its, say 75% empty. Constant on/off of the RO/DI unit promotes TDS creep. I have yet to tackle that one myself.
