My 90 gallon reef build…1 year birthday 8/1/21

Hey, figured I’d post some pictures of the tank build. I should have done Some things slower, and thought a couple of things out more, but I don’t have the best patience or time anymore haha.

I built this over a long weekend this past august. Several trips to Lowe’s and the fish store. I over built the tank stand so I could sleep soundly at night. The last picture is the tank on its 5 month anniversary last week.

I never cycled this tank. I found someone who had a 40 gallon tank with live rock...I added fresh live sand to my tank. I used all of his live rock and all of his water. I then added the additional 80 gallons of system water. Once it was up to temperature, I added fish and frags.the light bracket is just 1/2 squre stock I welded and bolted To the back of the stand.

Aquamaxx cones skimmer
Marineland Magnum water polisher
Hydor seltz D 2400 GPH return pump
Nero 5 powerheads
Current usa 1050 powerheads
Hygger dosing
Current usa marine LED
Kessil h80 refugium
Agrobrite 6 T5 bulb fixture
3 blue plus
1 Coral plus
2 Actinic

Nitrate 15ppm

LED lights come on at 8am and off at 10pm
T5 run from 9:30-6pm
Moonlights 10pm-4am

it really looks great in my tank. Hoping it gets along with the frogspawn it’s kinda touching. I might be able to move the frog down a little if they fight but I’m hoping not.

I would move it a little further away if possible...those torch’s will sting!

Thanks, I'll take your advise and push the frog down further. Right now the torch is barely tickling the frog so hope it's ok until I'm able to get in there.

No problem with the chromis..started with 9…and ended up with, Thats where it’s stayed for 8-9 months
