My new 75 build

So I bought a tank and stand off a fellow member saved the tank and sold the stand I always wanted to try to make my own after seeing so many people do it on here. Here are some pics of the build I should be getting it wet really soon.

I have about 50 lbs more rock to put in sitting next to the tank just playing around with some different ideas

You are going to need to walk around with sunglasses on when both tanks are lit up. At least you will have a suntan all year long!

Thanks everyone it's getting there I was going to do 2 doors in the front but I disided to have the whole front lift off this way I can have total access to the sump area. Now because I left the bottom clean I had to leave the top clean so what I did was hinge a piece of ply wood on the inside of the canopy and I'm going to attach all my lights to that this way if I need access I just crab a handle pull up and all the lights out of my way

Looks really great Dan! Awesome job on the stand.

I'm planning to do something similar on my new 120g build I'm working on. I was thinking of using magnets to attach the front panel, but I think I like that "track" idea you have better. It looks really simple to install.

Where did you get that from? Do you mind if I stop over one night and check it out in person?

Hey George you can stop by anytime I will pm you my address I was going to use magnets but I changed my mind I figured I would still have to come up with something to hold the weight of the panel so I spent some time at homedepot and found brackets they are for hanging heavy pictures here's a pic they even come with a built in level I put one on the top and bottom they work great you should go with them

I really like that idea. I wish I would have went with that instead of the doors. I find that they are very restrictive.

Thanks Dan! Those closeups help alot and now I'm positive I'm going to use those. I may stop by some time to check out your tank anyway. I have relatives in Cherry Hill and am near Maple Shade pretty often.

I just looked on the HD website and they have shorter ones for like $8 each. I figured 4 might be better (one in each corner) to make sure there would be no warping on the ends and make sure my corners always line up.

Yea I should of went done that road in the corners but I'm not that long 4ft I have the longer hangers and when they "lock in" it's really on there
Yea stop by wouldn't mind talking reef I always have questions that I need answers for lol
