My new loooong term project

Well we are in the process of putting up a new pole barn so had to find some new toys to put in it. 1957 chevy 6400 series pickup with 22,000 original miles so less than 400 miles a year HAH!the plan is to build a ratrod out of it powering it with a cummins 4bt turbo diesel and putting 19.5 rims and axles under it. I was the only one in the family that didn't have a 57' so didn't want to be the outcast. Mother has a 57' two door post. Father has a 57' two door wagon, and brother has a 57' pickup and two door sedan delivery a couple other cars stuffed in the barn at the farm some silly looking studabaker and then a ford galaxy

This truck originally would have had a dump body ,wrecker etc. but I have a donor truck that has to be picked up out in strousburg pa that will supply the bed. Now I will need to track down a retired bread truck as they usually have the cummins engine and will have the axles I would like to use This truck was in eastern Long Island ,talk about culture shock ,I'm a country boy you can keep the city that place is for the birds get anxiety with that much around and on top of me

This is awesome a family of 57s this has been a dream of mine since the beginning of time the turbo diesel is a great idea since I'm a diesel mechanic I have been turning wrenches for about 14yrs love to come over some day and check this out
