My poor wrasse!

I go downstairs to mess with my tank and I noticed my yellow chest wrasse committed suicide. Dried up on the carpet. Im curious how he did this since I have a lid. The only possible way was for him to jump up was through my feeding tube. Guess he may have went inside tube when food was being dropped in and he freaked out. So bummed he was a neat wrasse.

Sorry for your loss, I don't have a lid on my 75 with a melanurus, just wondering, was your wrasse harassed at all- I lost a coris because a pink damsel would chase it around the tank

Not at all he just did his thing in the tank. Nobody ever bothered him. I’m thinking he swam up the tube where the food was and maybe got freaked out causing him to jump out. Really sucks though
