Need a ID : Bristle/fire worm With Pics

After my fire fish went missing and a clam just dieing for no reason I have seen a few of these guys about on my night raids.. got this one last night after baiting him.. He is about 6"+ long

I guess he was mooning me when i was taking the pics.. No that's it's head unless he always moving backwards

I wanted to know what species like "Hermodice carunculata".. That's what i'm kinda leaning too

I think it looks like a fireworm, or some form of bristle.

If I look at the second pic on the second row directly under the heading Amphinomidae, on the site below.

It looks a lot like your worm.

Just ordered a Fire/bristleworm trap.. I can't have huge beasts like that running around.. I won't be able to sleep well at night.. I kept him alive and just took some more pics.. I really think it's a bad one(Hermodice carunculata)

Really!.. I know they are more of them.. but after taken this one out my watchman goby is coming out to play now .. been some time since he has done that but i really think the firefish and clam was killed by these worms.. also my open brain don't look to happy :-\ i might have to have a look under that later

All doing good apart from that one that got Brown jelly but know i have found out i have these I'm thinking if they are the reason for some polyps missing on my Green Polyp Cup and things getting damaged and getting BJD.. Also a lot of empty snail shell around the Green Polyp Cup where i have seen one lurking around

Caught one last night with the trap.. 8"+ long .. Had the trap where my fire fish use to hang out.. I have a feeling this was the worm that made the fish disappear
