Need help wiring VHO lighting

I just received my new VHO retro kit. The kit did not come with any directions other than the wiring diagram on the box and ballast. I can figure out how to connect the wires to the endcaps and then attach them to the end mounts. I have a feeling that the end mounts are supposed to have a groove for the wires so that the two pieces are flush agains one another.

Any suggestions?

Sorry for the delay, but I don't always spend the day on the forums!!  ;D

Sounds like the hellolights VHO retro to me, am I right?

I experienced the same problem. There is no groove, I just made sure to route the wire between the base of the plastic endcap and the rubber gasket that goes between the endcap and the reflector.

Make sure that this gasket COMPLETELY shields the wire from the edge of the reflector or you can get a short if the reflector edge cuts into the wire insulation when you tighten down.

Been there, done that!

Mine has been running since August with no problems.

Your correct on the ballast kit. I was able to resolve the problem. I simply drilled two small holes on the end mount so that I could slide the wires in. Worked like a charm. I dont understand why they didn't provide the wholes. Their other VHO kit has them.

Thanks anyway.
