Thanks guys, I also did a bit of research since I posted and they appear to be mini stars. I was just surprised to see so many today and none before.

Jim they don't appear to have a body like the hydroid but hard to tell, the pics I took we're under a magnifying glass really tiny

Fish don't seem interested will they eat them? I have a cleaner wrasse think he will munch on them?

I have a bunch of these on the glass. I always figured they were part of the whole copapod population as there is a bunch of little critters crawling on the glass.

At first I thought I had a bunch of sea urchins. ;)
