IMG_3197.JPGI was in the process of replacing the stand on my iMac with a vesa setup so that I can hang it and the latch re engaged and shot back into the Mac with out the stand. It's spring loaded so I can't get it out. Could really use some help from any locals that can help me finish this. Or at least put the iMac back together.

Have you tried googling the fix? I've done this for screen replacements on both laptops and phones....dare kids! They are step by step so that idiots like me can get the job done.

Yeah. I tried to get the latch to release again to no Avail.

The glass part is the scary part for me. I was using a mini crow bar last night out of frustration. So I would rather have an experienced person next to me. Don't want to further damage the Mac. Look at the damage I did to the aluminum already.

I know my limitations ( there are many !!!). Hahah

I just need to get the right leverage on the spring loaded inside and I should've good. But don't have the right tool

Yes. The part that attaches the flange went back into the machine after I removed it. And I can't get it out and it keeps snapping back really strong so I'm scared I will damage it if I continue with the brute force method of a crow bar.
