Neptune DOS

Howdy,

Do you guys think $215 shipped for a used Neptune DOS manufactured system is good? Seller claims heads were replaced every year.

I think I pay $190 for my used one shipped. I would find out if they used it for auto water changes. It puts a lot of wear on them. Personally for another $85 I'd buy a new one.

Good advice.. I was looking at his old posts and see he used one for AWC he's selling two systems so idk what one I would be getting. I really don't wanna spend the extra 85 :( but I'd would probably be spending 60 on two new heads anyway

Do you like the dos system?

I hope I'm not gonna regret this - I had a good dos picked out that wasn't used for AWC but saw this and heard really good things about it but now I lack the neptune brand & cohesion

if you feel like you're gonna regret it, why not just get the DOS? also, buy new unless the deal is really good but then you'll also have to take the seller's word for it. DOS aren't the most durable dosers, biggest appeal is the cohesion with the neptune controller.

See the comment about being durable makes me sway to the BM T11 but that cohesion is key

If your just using it to dose 2 part it will last a long time. Water changes are what wear it out. In 2 years mine has changed 1,500 gallons of saltwater that alot of wear and tear.

You can't compare the two pumps the bubble Magnus is like an antique compared to the dos. Only thing the bubble Magnus has over it is 2 extra heads

I'm to impatient.. I'm going to pull the trigger tonight. Hobby is truly an addiction.

I'm bummed as the seller has claimed to have shipped the BM T11 already and doesn't understand he can avoid a lot of headache if he cancels the shipment on his end otherwise I'm just going to reject the shipment to avoid having to send back to him
