New tank. Looking for opinions

I currently have a 40 gal cube tank in the living room, and I want more. I set up a 75 gal in the basement. The rock that I put in was sitting dry for 3-4 years. I did various water changes over the past few weeks, put that into the new tank along with my filter sock from the 40 gal and made up the rest with new rodi water.

Thoughts?

You will want to cure that rock in saltwater....usually takes a month or so. HERE's one write-up on how to do it.

+1 to paul. you do not want to go through the headache i did. i'd show you pictures, but it will seriously make you cry.

Tank is Cycling now with fish food and my dirty filter sock from the other tank. Thank you for the advice.
