NIce CS from Ecotech

I sent in my G3 for repair.
It was unrepairable.
Ecotech contacted me offering an upgrade to a G6 for $299 and, as my diffuser wouldn't work with the 6, they'd throw in a free diffuser as well.
I accepted and also asked about a refundable purchase of $80 I made moons ago and they honored it, so $220.

I began musing about a G6 on one side of the tank and a G3 over the other.
I asked about loyalty discounts and he said they're not a thing at Ecotech and he wished he could help.

He then asked me if there was ANYTHING wrong with my other G3.
I mentioned it worked fine with an occasional intermittent connection to Mobius and an occasional flash.
He mentioned I should definitely send it in for them to look at.
So I did.

They got back to me saying the battery looks like it had a small amount of rust on it that may impede future use.
Offered me a second G6 at $299 with another complimentary diffuser.
So, 2 G6 Blue Pros with diffusers, for about $550.
Keep in mind I did lose both my G3s (one functional) and insured the lights I sent back at $30 each, so total out of pocket was about $610 (and a 'trade in').

Was still pretty cool customer service and they went out of their way to ensure I was happy.
They get an A+.

And these lights (G6 Blue) are f&*^$(g amazing.

I have to second Ecotech customer service. They replaced a Mp10 wetside that was noisy and had a little rust on the axle for free. Best part about it was I bought it used from a member on R2R which I told them.

Nice!
CS was great with my versa replacement. I've gone through 2 of them now and no hesitation with them to get it replaced. Although, i had some technical questions for the rep helping me and he just kept giving me generic answers. No big deal, i still got my versa replaced.

NEPTUNE on the other hand. I have some choice words for them as of late....

What’s the biggest difference you have seen so far!
The spectrum is increased (I went with the Blue) and the micro-details that are showing in the corals are impressive.
I also currently have a single light center mounted ver a 36" tank while awaiting the delivery of the second. The spread is crazy, I was planning to move some sticks to the middle of the tank but there's no reason, I've got a comfortable 32"-34" spread and the corals are actually perking up and growing the past couple weeks (including the fringe sps). Wondering if I even need a second as it may be overkill.
There's a nice shimmer that can easily compete with Kessil, yet the light is diffused enough not to have any color hot spots in tank.
On plug in there was no major setup. Opened Mobius and the light was already there, just had to name it (running through iPhone app).
Last I can think of atm is the spectrum setting. If you don't want to manually adjust, programs for AB+, PHX14, LPS/Softie, and Radiant Color are single button options. When a program is chosen it comes on at 50% by default, this has been working wonders for my tank.
So, yeah, I literally mounted it, plugged it in, opened Mobius, hit the AB+ button, and set the start and finish times. Hands free since and colors and details are popping like nuts.

!! I’ll be back to e working soon, and that’s something I thought about getting into the new version. It was a noticeable difference when moved from g3 plus to g4 plus…

This morning the radions didn't change to daylight saving automatically. When the time is changed manually the schedule was off. It took a few tries to get it set properly.

Noticed similar with mine, Lominie. One light was on but not other. Turned them off/on via app. See how it goes.

And can confirm that the new lights with the current Mobius on iOS did automatically change over with Daylight Savings.
