Really stupid subject to discuss, but I am amazed how efficient they have become. The last three visits I have made to motor vehicle were shorter and shorter each time. I went in today to do an address change, license renewal, registration renewal and another registration renewal for my trailer that I haven't registered since '05. To my amazement I was actually greeted nicely in he front by someone who actually knew what she was doing and checked my credentials and gave me the proper forms and instruction. Went to the next station where the lady was very happy and in a great mood where I guess she double checked my stuff and gave me a "serving" number while she laughed and said you're up and pointed to yet another nice lady who processed the rest of my stay there. She too was in a great talkative mood. She did my license and asked me to check it over. There was an error so she deleted it and did it over with no hesitation.
That stupid six point system was a joke too. It was a piece of cake. the only thing with it is you have to know what you are bringing. You can't just say to yourself Im in the area so I'll pop in and do my business in a moment's notice. I don't know anybody who would have the six points on their person all the time.
Sorry if I bored you with this, but I am still shocked. I was actually in and out of there in 20 minutes (no exaggeration)even including the time to fill out the form. I remember when I sat in there for anywhere from an hour or to with probably a hundred or so people waiting to do one simple reregistration. Glad those days are over.
