Wife asked me to help her trim hedges after work. Sure no problem.
After cutting the front moved ladder to the back and bunch bees came at me. I did not know and assumed the stinging was the bush, has thorns. Wife started yelling bees, she is allergic. End of story was stung about 6 times in my legs, 1 on my hand, 1 on chest and 1 on arm.
Luckily I'm not allergic just painful.

Sorry to hear about your trimming incident. The worst I seem to do when electrically trimming my forsythia is to accidentally sever the power cord, releasing some blue sparks and some blue smoke. You'd think I'd learn, but I've managed to do it three times now (doh?).

@Bob, I don't mess with electricity for the same reason. Three different incidents my entire life and I have learned hire someone else to do it.
@Diana, Agree, she is leaving for FL tomorrow so good thing it was me.

I have never been stung before and the itching is driving me nuts.

No such luck for me. Ran around like a nut swatting my entire body. Then my wife starts yelling take of your pants so I ran to front door and took of my shorts and shirt and ran into the house and jumped in the shower. Neighbors must have been laughing their ass off watching me.
