Non sensitive protein skimmer recommendations.

As I have written many times I have had nothing but problems with my Octo 110 protein skimmer and am looking to buy a new one. I’ve fussed with this one for two months now and it’s time for a change. I’ve owned many protein skimmers and never had a problem like I did with this one

So what is a good skimmer for about 80 gallons of water? Any feedback is much appericiated. Also if you have a used one that you are looking to sell please let me know.
thanks

For what it’s worth, I’ve only ever had two skimmers. Both of them were/are on my current system. Before that I had only used algae scrubbers to supplement the biological filter.

My first skimmer was a bubble magus curve 7. I replaced it with a larger one as my systems volume has increased. The current skimmer is a curve 9 with the neck cleaner. It is keeping up with my system quite well.

Which ever one you decide on, I would recommend adding a neck cleaner and remote drain (add a water level sensor if going to a container). It keeps it performing efficiently 24x7. Having the neck cleaner and draining the cup has also reduced maintenance time. I just cleaned it last night. The last time I cleaned it was 3/31. Before that was fall 2019.

I only cleaned it to get this mess out of it. My buddy wants to try using it in his garden. Not sure if the salt content would be too high though. Anyway this is just what I scraped off the neck cleaner for him to try.

Really like the reef octopus essence 130 I have currently running. Running non-stop for a year now. Very easy to dial in and consistent production.

I had a bubble magus before. It was ok but not that great.

Had a skimz as well. One of the old models. It was great. But it was designed for a much larger system.

If I buy again I would go for the essence 130.
