One of the benefit of working from home is to be able to take care of the tank during the day. I have changed my 25 Lagoon to a nem/odd ball/NPS setup. The setup is very simple,

Hardware
IM 25 Lagoon, stock return pump
MP10QD (unfortunately as I discovered it's not a wireless. It would've made a difference)
One single AI illuminating one side of the tank.

More sand will be added to cover the bottom for 2". Shipping is delayed but a bag of Tropic Eden Mesoflakes is coming.

Main inhabitants
A pair of black clowns
Coral banded shrimp
Red seafan
Yellow finger coral
Chili Coral
Carnation coral
Small Haddoni carpet

The NPS are from ACC. It's amazing they have these in stock occasionally. I had the carnation from 4 months ago it has been shrinking (to almost dead) but it did grow into the rock it was rubber-band to. Hopefully it will open and eat in this dedicated tank. The other 3 are all doing ok but not great.

Feeding of the NPS
A mixture of Reef Roid/BRS Chili/Frozen Cyclops. Feeding is currently 3 or 4 times a day in small quantities. Alexa is setup to stop the return pump for 30 mins on demand. There is good feeding response from the Chili and Yellow finger corals. Usually after 30 mins the particles in the water column are all gone.

Nutrient control
Currently no nutrient export. With the heavy feeding I expect the nutrient levels will rise. Phospate is @0.2 which is tolerable but we will see how the carpet fares. Water change is 5 to 10 gallons using the water from other tank. We will see how this regime work and adjust accordingly. I have a skimmer and can do carbon dosing etc ...

Future additions
Looking for more NPS or Gorgonians. A worm rock will be nice. Will research into compatible creatures. Open for suggestions.

Was thinking of converting my zoa fragger into a small display this week. Just need to find or bild a stand.

I like it! The Haddoni looks healthy. Where did you find it? I love @Premiumaq Tropic Eden sand. It's so clean and requires very little rinsing. I am about to reorder 3 bags. Is that the mesoflales you have in there now?

Haddoni is from LA. It was deflating and inflating. It's getting better but today it got sucked into MP10 I thought that grate is small enough. Hopefully I saved it on time.

The sand in my tank is meso. but I am not sure. either reefflakes or meso is good.

Apparently they are very hard to keep alive, but there are some crazy looking ones. I spotted some yellow ones growing near my torch, but not sure how they got there and even less sure how long they will live, lol.

The yellow sponges are everywhere. The tank is small a challenge for everything.

The lollipop tunicate are very cool looking, but expensive. The sea apple is interesting and LA has it in stock. Not sure if it will play nice with the haddoni.

Did you get the Tropic Marine sand yet?

They really need to attach to something and use that to force their foot into the sand. It is very hard for them to dig into the sand without attach to something first.
I would use a smooth, concave rock and put it on top of the foot of the anemone. Smooth so that it will not injure the anemone, and concave to fit the foot of the anemone right into the grove. Once it is attached, a healthy Haddoni will not have any problem dig into the place that he like

@diana a yes the sand arrived. right now the tank has 1" of sand. there are plenty of time when the nem kind of attached to the rock or glass but it released itself. I tried to move the nem to the right spot, stop the pump etc to give it time but no of the measures has worked.

Nem has died. I will not get another carpet until I have acquired the proper medicine to treat it. I believe it is CIPRO but I do not have the prescription to buy it.

More filter feeds are added. Not strictly NPS but these will do which I build up the collection. The red chili coral seems to have grown bigger.
